5.10.11 - Upcoming workshop: Imaging neuroinflammation and Neuropathic Pain
On behalf of TREND Roberto Perez will perform and participate on Saturday in the Translational Research Workshop ‘Imaging neuroinflammation and Neuropathic Pain’. The event will take place on the 13th till 15th of October 2011 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Basic researchers, clinicians, and biomedical representatives will jointly examine a variety of neuroimaging methods as technical approaches to further investigate neuroinflammation as an etiology for neuropathic pain and associated comorbidities; and accelerate the development of imaging methods and biomarkers, to help with the diagnosis and treatment of neuroinflammatory diseases.
The objectives of the workshop are to develop imaging tools to diagnose neuroinflammation in individuals with neuropathic pain and other neurological disorders; translate pre-clinical neuroinflammation imaging methods into clinical applications; and foster new collaborations between basic researchers, clinicians, biomedical industries, and patient advocacy groups working on neuroinflammatory disorders.
