International Symposium
The TREND consortium announces its two-day international conference on Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. The conference aims to provide an overview of the results that have been obtained from studies that have been performed within TREND, as well as present information on the latest results from studies that have been executed by internationally renowned CRPS researchers.
Background
Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) is an intriguing condition that still is incompletely understood. Important progress however, has been made in the past ten years. Much of this information has been collected within TREND. Researchers participating in TREND together have published over 100 papers on the topic of CRPS in the past period. Important research has obviously also been performed by other researchers and some of the best-recognized of them will present their results and share their insights at this symposium. There is also ample room in the program for the various aspects of management of CRPS.
Target audience
The conference is intended for professionals who see patients with CRPS in their daily practice as well as for people with a scientific interest into this condition: anesthesiologists, rehabilitation physicians, occupational physicians, insurance doctors, psychologists, physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

Call for abstracts!
Presentation of posters
The program provides opportunity for presentation of a limited number of posters. We invite you to submit an abstract related to CRPS, which meets the requirements outlined below. Deadline for abstract submission is Friday, January 27, 2012. Invited poster presenters are entitled to the student fee.

The abstract text should not exceed 250 words
No tables or images
Maximum number of co-authors: 10
Address information of one corresponding author should be provided.
Abstracts should be written in English in Word format and sent as attachment to the following email address: boerhaavenascholing@lumc.nl. Please mention “Abstract CRPS May 2012” in the subject box.
